Articles: A new blog for Kevin

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - 04:00 AM, (608 Reads)

Some of you are already aware that Kevin now has his own blog where you can read all about the progress he is making in his recovery. Ideally we would have launched this a little closer to the anniversary of Kevin’s accident (29 May), but first we wanted to get the blog as up to date as possible. See the bottom of this article for the blog address… We are also hoping in the not-too-distant future to add a direct-contribution fund-raising facility to the blog, with the aim of helping Kevin get to centres outside Western Australia that might further his recovery. However, before this can happen, we need to set up a tax-free charity with the help of an accountant and lawyer who will ensure that no further paperwork or stress ends up on Alison’s desk. In the meantime, Kevin now has funding for carers to help with his everyday needs, but no money is available for any treatments whatsoever, including osteopathy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, chiropracty, massage, reflexology, etc., etc.

If you would like to help, please consider making a gift to Kevin of, for example, a massage or osteopathy session. You can do this by paying the therapist directly. If you would like to contribute in this way, please contact Kerry at kerry@munro.cc to find out more or to organise your gift.

Please visit Kevin’s blog at http://kevin-holmes.blogspot.com/ and don’t forget to leave your message in the ‘Comment’ box at the bottom of any article. Even a simple ‘Hello’ goes a long way towards helping Kevin, Alison and the girls to stay motivated and keep on going!
