This tree is a picture outside Auntie Marg's place. John shook the tree and...

A week's travelling around the area commenced in a back field beside the Wedderburn Hotel. The scenery through all our windows was typical Graeme Sydney. A wide landscape of distant purple mountains and miles of flat golden fields and rolling hills.......

One gas tank emptied in the night and our underfloor heating went off resulting in a morning temperature INSIDE the van of 2 degrees! I didn't emerge from under the warm wool quilt until the temperature reached 10deg, John having changed the gas tanks over.

Another photo shows our campsite in Clyde where we stayed for 5 days. The huge Clutha river was alongside (down a gorge) and this photo was taken while taking the dogs a walk. I had balanced the camera o­n a huge rock.

Before this Central Otago event, was the Queenstown Festival and this excerpt is written from a local paper... "Although not what many would percieve as a traditional jazz band, Wellington gorup Rhombus will play o­ne of the headline shows at this year's Jazz Festival. Rhombus is influenced by hip hop, soul, dub jazz and breaks and combines these elements to create its own unique and uplifting style. The inclusion of horn player Daniel Waho and the jazz-trained Darren Mathiassen o­n drums in its live lineup, ensure the group more than justifies its includion n this year's festival."

An especially nice photo I want to share was taken down in the Catlins the day after Grandad was having his wild swing.......
