Well everyone, we finally did it.  After much research (learned a lot) and many hours of transferring data (yawned a lot), we finally have the Family Site running o­n a new hacker-proof (hopefully) state-of-the-art linux server and software.

As an extra bonus, in upgrading the system, a number of things have become more reliable and easier to use (photos can be uploaded from directly within XP's explorer, fancy news items - Visual Mode - can now be submitted from Firefox are some examples)...

And, ahh, despite the date o­n this news, it is no April Fools joke - I think.
It will look a little different for a bit, things may be a little slow for a while, and there may be some features temporarily unavailable while we apply the finishing touches.  Please relax and chill while we do all the hard work

If there is anything not here that you sorely miss, please leave a comment below and we may get around to reading it (jus' kidd'n).

You may have to re-login again o­n the left but your username and password should still work as before.

Also, before trying to upload any photos, click o­n the 'Photo Gallery' link and then please contact us, as we need to do a manual tweak.  Contact is as always sysadmin@munro.cc.

No family chat working yet.
Can't post a photo - no editing function in the Photo Gallery
Daresay it will all be fixed.
It looks a lot clearer
